A truly beautiful vintage 1940s gown in liquid ivory satin, effortlessly elegant and full of quiet drama. Long sleeves and a high, softly pleated neckline lead into a fitted empire waist, with delicate pintuck detailing through the bodice. From the back, a graceful Wateau train falls from the waist, gathered into an unusual bow detail — a striking touch you won't find on many vintage gowns. The medium-weight satin has a beautiful soft sheen and drapes with real movement. Slightly sheer, so a slip is recommended underneath. Fastens with poppers at the neck and sides. The kind of dress that photographs from every angle — simple at first glance, full of detail up close.
- best on XS/S; model is size XS and 5ft3''
- measurements in inches: shoulder to shoulder 14.5'' / chest 34'' / empire waist 26''-27'' / hips up to 48'' / shoulder to front 56''
- satin
- excellent condition with a few faded marks/a couple of pin holes — very hard to see unless up close
